Wash & Care:
When it comes to caring for your knitwear, less is more. Wool and alpaca fibers naturally resist odors and absorb moisture, helping to prevent bacteria and unwanted smells. We recommend deep cleaning your knits once a year, with light freshening or spot cleaning in between. This gentle approach helps preserve their quality and longevity.
machine wash
Use a mild, gentle detergent free from harsh chemicals that could damage your knitwear fibers. Wash cotton, cashmere, and merino blends in cold water, and dry them gently to maintain their quality
Hand Wash:
Hand in cool water using a mild or wool specific detergent.
Do not use the hand wash or delicate cycle on your machine as this can aggravate the fibres causing shrinkage and felting.
Avoid the use of bleach or fabric softener.
Remove excess water by folding and pressing water out. Do not twist or wring out water.
Lay sweater flat on a towel. Roll the towel up to remove excess water.
Un-roll the towel, and re-shape the garment. Straighten seams and remove any wrinkles.
Lay flat to dry on a clean towel in a shaded area.
Iron on a cool setting to remove any wrinkles.
dry clean
Point out any spots or stains to the cleaner prior to washing.
Ask the cleaner to use a process that does not involve tumbling.
